PROTEIN ASSOCIATION SET TO INDUCT OFFICERS AND APPOINT NEW BOARD MEMBERS
ST MARYS, GA – January 22, 2023 –The National Protein and Food Distributors Association Board of Directors will meet on Monday, January 23, 2023, in Atlanta, GA. to tap officers and newly elected board members.
Judson “Jud” Guest, Executive Vice President at LAD Truck Lines, Inc., in Watkinsville, GA, will succeed Jeff Paschall, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Fieldale Farms / Springer Mountain Farms, in Baldwin, GA, as chairperson of NPFDA. Laurie Pate, President at Foodlinx, Inc., in Brentwood, CA, moves into the Vice Chair role after serving as Treasurer. Newly elected to the NPFDA Executive Committee is Chan Windham to serve as Treasurer. He is Director of Commodity Sales at House of Raeford Farms in Greenville, SC. Jeff Paschall will remain on the Board as Immediate Past Chair.
As chair, Guest will lead the board of directors, which sets policy and provides direction to NPFDA’s overall mission.
NPFDA is governed by an Executive Committee and Board of Directors consisting of industry professionals from around the country representing protein companies, distributors, processing companies and other allied industries. The Board oversees the direction of the organization and collaborates directly with the staff to guide its continued growth.

Butts, Butts Foods; Rick Trenary, Perdue; Russ Whitman, Urner Barry Publications, and Tim Rathert, Quaker Valley Foods.
Newly appointed board members are Ada Brewster, Bay and Bay; Chris Sharp, Kelly’s Foods; Justin Monfredini, PacAgri Foods; Vanderbilt Edwards, Americold, and Mitch Mitchell, Holmes Foods.
Outgoing board members are Tammy Vige, PacAgri Foods; Ben Medearis, Americold; Amit Morey, Department of Poultry Science Auburn University; Don Poulin, Golbon; Nathan Pence, Wholesome Companies and Wayne Shuler, Shuler Meats.
The National Protein and Food Distributors Association (NPFDA), formerly known as National Poultry and Food Distributors Association, is a non-profit trade association based in St. Mary’s, Georgia which has been in existence since 1967. It is currently comprised of protein and food suppliers, retailers, processors, transportation companies and marketers with a membership of 280 industry firms from throughout the country.
