Novi-based Lineage Logistics LLC has funneled $3 million into a new foundation launched to fight food insecurity around the world.
The cold storage and logistics giant said it will leverage the gift and its food transportation prowess to feed the hungry and reduce food waste through the Lineage Foundation for Good, according to a Friday news release.
The foundation will function as a public charity with its own oversight and structure, including a board of directors. Darcee Scavone, vice president of talent, culture and community engagement for Lineage, will oversee coordination between the company and foundation.
