FLOCK/Camp Corral Challenge Raises Over $43,000 to Heal Children’s Lives

ROSE HILL, NC – June 8, 2023.  House of Raeford Farms FLOCK recently completed the second year of an annual fundraising challenge for Camp Corral.  The April through May campaign focused on providing children of fallen, wounded, and ill military heroes with a life-transforming summer camp experience.  Thanks to the incredible support of our employees, friends, business associates, and the community at large we raised $21,523.  In turn, FLOCK met the challenge and doubled your giving for a grand total contribution of $43,046.  Enough to send over 34 kids to camp!

Over the last 12 years, Camp Corral has served more than 30,000 military-connected children from across the country. One-of-a-kind programs tailored to address the most common needs and concerns of military children to include discovering peer relationships, creating support systems, and learning coping skills.

FLOCK first partnered with Camp Corral in 2020 and established this extraordinary nonprofit as a two-time benefactor of the FLOCK-sponsored Carolinas Classic All-Star Basketball Games, contributing $50,000.  In addition, the 2022 FLOCK/Camp Corral challenge raised $47,936 for the kids.  Over the past three years, FLOCK has targeted more than $140,000 in donations to the organization.

“The more contact we have with these military families, either personally or through written or verbal testimonials, the more we believe in our collaboration with Camp Corral,” said Dave Witter, a member of FLOCK’s board of directors.  “These children are receiving healing from the difficult life situations they face with their families.” 

Through the FLOCK/Camp Corral Challenge, our contributors make it possible for these incredible kids to test their limits, challenge their fears, celebrate their accomplishments, and make life-affirming friendships that assure them they are not alone.

Camp Corral Summer Camp 2023 comprises 17 sites across the country where these special children meet other young people who understand; enjoy thrilling experiences; and love the chance just to be kids.  Thanks to all those who helped FLOCK and Camp Corral help these youth!
