INTRODUCING NPFDA'S 2024 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
St. Marys, GA – June 6, 2024 – The NPFDA Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships to eight outstanding students from a vast number of qualified applicants. The NPFDA Scholarship Foundation was established in 1979.
Eligible applicants were from NPFDA Member Companies or were children of an employee of a NPFDA Member Company who is enrolled full-time at a US-based College or University, technical school, or a graduating high school senior pursuing a college degree in the fall. To apply, each student had to complete an application, author an essay, and then submit these items along with their transcripts and a faculty recommendation.
The NPFDA Scholarship Foundation’s Selection Committee reviewed each applicant’s submission. Each submission was evaluated by committee members based on the goals and aspirations essay, extracurricular activities, recommendation letter, and GPA - ballots were tallied, and the top eight students were awarded $5,000.
One of the scholarships was generously provided in full by Shuler Meats and was awarded to Weston Ruddock of Texas A & M University.

About the NPFDA Scholarship Foundation:
Since 1979, the NPFDA Foundation has granted scholarships to deserving students annually, supporting their college education. Selected students are employees of NPFDA member companies or the child/dependent of an employee of an NPFDA member company. Support from our industry is critical to the continued existence of the foundation. Scholarships are funded through private cash donations and contributions to the NPFDA Foundation's annual silent auction, held each January during the NPFDA Annual Convention in Atlanta. We encourage our members and industry professionals to consider participating in this valuable initiative. The foundation and its activities are approved by the IRS, and donations are tax-deductible. Donations can be made throughout the year at www.npfda.org or by mail to NPFDA Scholarship Foundation, 2014 Osborne Rd, Saint Marys, GA 31558.
